OI! I noticed today that I'm linked to my all time favorite blog so...I felt I owed to him to post something new here :D Anyway, it's been a crazy couple of months. Sometimes I have time to approach polyvore, sometimes I don't. Since I've learned how to make stuff in Adobe...that's occupied most of my time and energy. Also, I haven't had the time to properly keep up with polyvore, so I no longer feel like an authority figure on the subject. And the polyvore blog is doing so well...well, who am I? But I still do enjoy making sets and I'd like to feature a couple of my recent favorites here.

I'll Melt With You by Jess Lee
This is a set by Polyvore's own Jess Lee. It's just phenomanal. I love the way all the pieces seem to glow with an inner light. The color, of course is not only appealing to polyvore girls (I don't know what it is about teal) but the pieces are super chic and sophisticated. Furthermore, it's titled after my favorite song, so kudos!

La Garconne Style by Natasha11

Well isn't this frakkin' adorable! It's odd but the porportions are JUST right. The big floppy shoes would not work with a different kind of dress and with that jacket, this outfit really is a delightfully simple work of art. If it makes me want to draw it...it's art.
And with that, I leave you again. I'd love to say I'll be posting alot from now on, but I keep falling through on that promise so I'll just say, until next time!
PEACE.

Sometimes I wonder why I do this every day, this polyvore thing. I'm not really addicted to it. When I'm away on vacation or something for a week, I don't miss it all, no offence to my polyvore friends ;-). I need to see things like this to remember why Polyvore is worth it. What better way to showcase this dress? Honestly. If you blow this up magazine sized...it does not get better than this. It has depth, plot line, it's visually clear and vivid, the textures are strong, the colors saturated and subtle...furthermore, it's a cool outfit. The jean jacket and aviators ground this and take it from sweet to cool. I have learned SO much about fashion on polyvore, and I sense I'm going to go on learning, because of sets like this. Well done, Nat :).

I don't know how she does it, but somehow Natasha manages to find THE MOST incredible garments I have ever seen on Polyvore. I was gobsmacked when I saw this set. It was clear, vivid, vibrant and, like the title says, dark. I have never seen deconstruction look as good as it does on this dress. The ruffled pieces sort of haphazardly attached to the skirt, the uniform pleating around the bottom reminding the viewer of a past sense of order, the way it looks dirty and oily, but also looks really comfortable and wearable...it's just stunning. And then, paired with that ghostly woman and her deep set eyes...a sort of androgynous priestess...oh, it's all so epic! Bravo, Natasha!

First, kittens, lets take a look at this stunning dress. This is one of those dresses that make wearing clothes an absolute pleasure. It's a soft silk that makes a woman feel slinky and sexy without being overexposed. The ruffles around the bottom play with the color and form of a woman's legs. Every time she walks, she is being petted and hugged and cuddled by this delightful fabric. Furthermore, the peaches and beiges under the dress make it look like the dress wishes to become the woman, and not the other way around.
The styling of this dress is spectacular as well. I am particularly fond of the pearl, chain and ribbon necklace that adds a touch of interest at the neck without being overbearing. I would also like to point out the jacket...it looks like a cotton to me, and it will work beautifully with the silk...not too rough and not too soft and well structured over this relatively structureless dress. Thank you to Natasha for her too kind dedication :) Kisses to you, dear!
